New Version 1.1.1
V1.1 should hopefully fix the real hardware drive issues while loading/saving. Definitely fixed is the crash when space was pressed at the same time when the title screen and high score table toggled.
Version 1.1 furthermore fixes some cosmetic flaws, like the Game Over text not being displayed properly when the color theme was changed to another theme or some transitions that looked a bit rough. And LIVES is now spelled correctly.
Please replace prior version with this one. Thank you <3.
Please note: The disk now contains two main files: "Bill&Ted" and "Bill&TedNS". The "NS" stands for "No Speech" and may be used if you can live without the "Excellent" speech sample but instead prefer faster loading time. Enjoy.
If you want to take over your score and save state from version 1.0 then feel free to copy the files "HI" and "ST" over to the new disc. Tip: The Windows tool DirMaster does a great job for managing .d64 containers.
Edit: Another quickfix applied to v1.1.1 so that after restart lives are properly initialized to '08'.

The continue game bug is still there. It's like an unlimited lives cheat. Waiting for V1.2

Hmmm... not the confirmation I was looking for ;). Can you give me a hint how I can reproduce this bug myself? Maybe I use the wrong approach to test this. Thank you.
Edit: Ah, it may be that your save state file contains inconsistent values due to the bug in v1.0. Can you please try to start a new game and check with that? I have great hopes that it works now. Thanks.
